Uttar Pradesh Livestock Development Board
State Government, as per guidelines from Deptt. of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAH & D), Govt. of India established the Uttar Pradesh Livestock Development Board (UPLDB) registered on 07th January, 1999 under the State's Societies Registration Act No. 21 of 1860. The registration of the Board has been renewed up to 2014.

Uttar Pradesh Livestock Development Board (UPLDB) is constituted to implement, monitor and control the activities relative to improve breeds of cattle & buffalo.
The main services & activities of it are as follows:
- To promote doorstep artificial insemination services, especially involving private AI practitioners (Pashu Mitra).
- To streamline storage and supply of liquid nitrogen on regular basis
- To introduce quality bulls with high genetic potential.
- To convert static AI centers of DAH (animal husbandry department) to mobile services.
