State Government, as per guidelines from Deptt. of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAH & D), Govt. of India established the Uttar Pradesh Livestock Development Board (UPLDB) registered on 07th January, 1999 under the State's Societies Registration Act No. 21 of 1860. Services & Activities
Uttar Pradesh Livestock Development Board (UPLDB) is constituted to implement, monitor and control the activities relative to improve breeds of cattle & buffalo.
The main services & activities of it are as follows:
- To promote doorstep artificial insemination services, especially involving private AI practitioners (Pashu Mitra).
- To streamline storage and supply of liquid nitrogen on regular basis
- To introduce quality bulls with high genetic potential.
- To convert static AI centers of DAH (animal husbandry department) to mobile services.
